At Better Merch, we recognise the critical importance of addressing modern slavery risks in global and local supply chains. As a proudly Australian, female-led, social enterprise, we are committed to ethical sourcing and transparency.

Our Commitment
While not currently required to report under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), we voluntarily uphold its principles. We will not knowingly support or contribute to modern slavery in any form.

We commit to:

  • Partnering with suppliers who meet ethical sourcing standards
  • Prioritising transparency across our supply chain
  • Avoiding procurement from regions or industries with a high risk of forced labour
  • Educating staff and stakeholders about ethical trade practices
  • Reviewing our supply chain annually to address risks proactively

Supplier Expectations
Our suppliers must:

  • Ensure no forced, bonded, or involuntary labour is used
  • Provide fair wages and safe working conditions
  • Comply with Australian standards or international equivalents
  • Sign our Supplier Code of Conduct (available upon request)

Governance
Better Merch is guided by a social purpose and governed by an independent advisory board with expertise in neurodiversity, Indigenous engagement, and ethical employment. Our policies are reviewed annually to remain current and compliant.
